July Notes to Treasure

Dear Treasure,
If you look back at the June and May notes you can see my previous notes to you. In May I told you that many, many wonderful people would help you. In June I told you that we would reach the goal of $100,000. I know how good people are when given the chance to express themselves. All I can predict now is that all these wonderful people will continue to stand behind you until you are cured. As you know, I like to play music. Someday soon I will sing for you two of my favorite songs as we celebrate all the wonderful things that have happened. The songs are entitled "I Won't Back Down" and "No Retreat, No Surrender". You are lucky to have such a great mom and sister and lots of people that "Won't Back Down" and won't retreat or surrender when it comes to making sure you are okay.
Love, Mr. Rudd

Hi Treasure, A friend of mine sent me your website. You are a beautiful girl and you are in the BEST hands with Dr. Yakes. I know this because my son Reed was a patient of Dr. Yakes for 3 years and is perfectly healthy and AVM FREE for the last 2 years!! Dr. Yakes changed his life and he will change yours too. You will continue smiling this beautiful smile of yours and showing your incredible bravery and strength for the rest of your life. We wish you luck and hope as you continue through the process. We will check back with you as you get better~! And remember that sometimes you have to go through worse just to get better. It will happen!! Best to you, Kretice and Reed Crowson in Littleton, Colorado

I AM SO GLAD THAT THE FIRST PROCEDURE WENT WELL. AT MY STORE I STILL HAVE A SMALL COLLECTION BOX, AND I AM STILL RECEIVING SMALL DONATIONS TOWARDS YOUR FULL RECOVERY, and hope anyone in the area that stops by will still be about to give something as there are always unexpected things that come up, so a little more never hurts. Personally I have donated big already, but i am still trying to make sure everyone in Glendora or the vicinity that wishes to contribute still can, here at my place.I am usually here in the afternoon hours. Once the donations start to tricle down, I will make another check out for your cause.

Hi Treasure, my mommie told me about you and I saw your pictures on internet. I feel very sad that you have to hurt so bad. I am sick to and I hate when I feel bad. I have cancer and spend alot of time at the hospital. I miss a bunch of school too and my friends. But I like it when I get to go home and go swimming and go to dance class. I hope you get better and me and my mommie will tell Jesus to make you all better. Then someday when I am not sick no more and you are better I can come see you and we can dance together.

Hi Treasure, My name is Shannon I am 30 an i have a AVM on my tongue too. It's gotten pretty big it's under my tongue on the bottom part. I just got told today i was going to go see Dr. Yakes. So i started lookign on the internet to see about the hospital and to see if there was any information about him as a doctor, Oh my goodness are we luck to have this doctor or what. I read for only five min. and new he was great. I came across your story and felt at ease. I was hoping you could share your story with me about how it al happens. Does it hurt you know all those things as 30 year old teacher i shouldn't be scared of! :) How are you doing and how many times do you think you'll have to go do the surgeries? Do you stay over night in the hospital? My doctor here said i might have to stay due to swelling and all. So if you can help me that would be great i'd like to keep in touch we may end up there sometime together and maybe we can hang out. I am so touched i want to help you and your family so i will be looking to do that and hoping all goes well for you!! You can email me at SDAVES27@msn.com or call me at 858 208 7871 i live in san diego ca. Thanks a million and hang in there! Shannon

You are a very brave girl and many people right here in Covina and many miles away have been touched by your strenght and courage. Keep the beautiful smile on your face, I am sure we will all rally together and raise the money still needed for additional treatments. Say hi to your sister and your mother for me and I hope to see all of you by registration time at Las Palmas. All the best, Mrs. Gunn
